You can check your Spirit Orb usage history by tapping the cogwheel icon in the top right of the Home screen and then tapping Purchase History → Spirit Orbs.

If your Spirit Orbs Purchase History indicates that Spirit Orbs were used for a Summons, please check your inventory to make sure you received items from the Summons. When checking your inventory, make sure to set all filters to "All" in order to see a list of all your items.
